About the Island:
Bois Blanc Island is about fourteen miles long by seven miles wide island. It is located in Straits of Mackinac between the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. Much of the island is owned by the State of Michigan. Its forest contains white pine, Norway pine, cedar and birch. The wildlife is diverse in population. There are approximately 54 year round residents.
About the Foundation:
The purpose of the Bois Blanc Island Community Foundation is to support and promote charitable, scientific, literary, educational and cultural programs and projects which protect, preserve and cultivate the rich heritage of the island. Our foundation is affiliated to the Community Foundation
of Northeast Michigan which allows us to take advantage
of their administrative expertise.

Saturday, July 26, 2014 the BBICF is sponsoring a tour of five homes in the Pointe aux Pins community. There will be several special added attractions and delicious treats for all participants. Tickets for this event will be available from BBICF board members for a donation cost of $25 per person. Every penny from every ticket sold will be put into the BBICF endowment fund.
